This is an early fan forced smokers stand I picked up from the South Western Antique Mall in Weatherford, Oklahoma while doing Route 66 in the USA in 2012. When I saw it, I had to have it. 'Kisco circulair'
I pulled it apart in the motel 'The Cactus Inn' so it would fit in a suitcase for the trip back home.
It is likely to have been left outside at some point in its life as the amount of rust on it would not have occurred in a loungeroom.
The fan motor was seized so no wonder it did not work in the motel room.
I have pulled the motor apart now, cleaned and lubed the bearings and replaced the wires right up to the winding and now it works fine.
Parts back from sand blasting and the screws have been zinc plated.
I had the original cardboard top used as a template to have a new high polished stainless one laser cut as seen in this picture with the white plastic still on it.
Now waiting for the chrome parts to come back.
I need to recreate one of the bakelite joiners as one is missing.
(pictured in my hand below)
Chrome has come up reasonable, I was warned that they could not get between the ribs but hey its shiny.
